Volunteer Information
A festival is only as successful as those who volunteer to share their skills, time and energy. This years festival is larger in volunteer help and in need of your itime and efforts. CBAF will have a volunteer courtesy patrol that will aide in assisting and act as ambassadors to the public.
The New Colorado Black Arts Festival is comprised of a dynamic group of volunteers and managers. We are always looking for helpful individuals and organizations in a variety of areas. Volunteer information is now being accepted and volunteers are needed in the following areas;
- Welcoming: At the festival "Gate keepers" are needed, We prefer organizations or groups to take on this responsibility blocks of time or days at a time.
- Vendor aide: In helping to managing the vendor areas Socio Civic, Marketplace, Food court and Literary,Visual Arts
- Concessions and beverage sales and setup: This is done by youth groups as we share our resources offering a hand up in the process
- Courtesy Patrol: Patrol the festival grounds offering aide to vendors and festival patrons during setup, breakdown and during the festival
- Administration: Office and logistical efforts before, during and after the festival
- Runners: Stages, parking and overall areas at festival 2010
- Drivers: To move volunteers, handicapped and performers to the festival and at the event
- Stage hands: Aide in the presentation of all three stages Kuumba Main stage, African Village Stage, Gospel Stage
- Coordinators: CBAF is only as succesful as our managers they are the key to our are efforts
- Clean up setup crew: During and before the festival we will need you to help setup and maintain the events look and quality. Our efforts are to maintain the neighborhoods surrounding the festival by using our courtesy patrol to canvas the neighborhoods removing trash and debris.
